Sometimes they are frustrated that they have not found anything while on scouting trips or they just want to cut down the “learning curve” of figuring out what sells online. Thanks for the Great Post, to me there’s nothing like “the thrill of the Hunt” to find products to sell on Amazon. If you don’t mind me saying, Slick Deals, Black Friday websites, all the weekend Ads for Walmart, Target, Sears, etc… All the big companies can give us a idea of Brands and items what people shop for everyday. I do understand what new Sellers are really saying, I still consider a 8 month Seller as a “Newbie” 🙂
Yet most people are wanting “quick Start- quick return”.
All my fellow Newbies; PLEASE learn and understand the business, TEST TEST TEST the products, buy A FEW of a single item and see timeline on which they sell…. These are the ways to find long term selling items and not trap ourselves in deep on “one or two items” we can’t move and get rid of. Please understand you are in a real business, look at multiple items “AND GO WIDE”. I now have over 2200 Books with 300 Grocery, Home, Personal items. Not but 3-5 of which are even over $20 in Cost …
Books may not be ‘Sexy’ yet a $3.00 Profit on a Book is the same as a $3.00 Profit on a Grocery item you’re not even Gated for yet. Books, DVD’s, Blue Rays, CD’s, Lawn & Outdoor, WOW I make Sales every single day. To make my Description sound as good as a big Seller, I describe the Media Item, say I am placing in a Self sealed Poly Bag so the customer knows it will be a neat and clean as when I sent it in. I’m competing and even selling for a higher dollar amount as other Amazon Sellers,
